Subject: To-do list

Hi, Troy.

As you already know, I’m going on a family trip tomorrow and won’t be back until next Monday. —[1]—. I need you to look after the store, and there are some things you need to do while I’m away. —[2]—.

I already ordered 3 days’ worth of products, so all you have to do is receive the deliveries and sign the forms that Mr. Torri, the deliveryman from Freshness First, hands you. Please organize the products on the shelves like you normally do during the day. Don’t forget to throw out the expired products. Before you leave, make sure to turn off all the power except for the coolers. Lock the cash box and the doors. Place the keys inside the mailbox as always. If you have any questions, feel free to call me. —[3]—. Thanks for your hard work. I will double your pay for the time I’m gone. —[4]—.

17. What type of business does Mr. Tennent most likely own?
18. What is Mr. Miles’s daily job at the store?
19. In which of the positions marked [1], [2], [3], and [4] does the following sentence best belong? “I will have my phone on me at all times.”
