A recent report from the European Car Racing Association shows that many professional race car drivers suffer from chronic neck pain due to frequent quick acceleration and sudden braking during competitions. Drivers frequently accelerate their cars from 30km/h to 200 km/h in just seconds. The occupation also increases risk of spinal stress.

James Waters, professional driver since 1989 comments that he has experienced chronic neck pain for many years. The only remedy seems to be frequent massages and exercises designed to strengthen the neck muscles. Manufacturers of car restraint systems are also trying to design better safety belts to keep the neck more stable during acceleration and braking, a change we may not see in this sport for several years.

Cleaning a Laptop Computer

Clean your laptop computer efficiently and safely. Before anything else, make sure to unplug all the cords and remove the battery from your laptop. You will need a soft cloth, a can of compressed air, and a bottle of Leaders Cleaner.

Let’s start with the surface. Put a drop or two of Leaders Cleaner on the cloth and wipe all the sides of your laptop. —[1]—. Using a mixture of water and regular soap is fine, but Leaders Cleaner is a better choice as it evaporates almost immediately, eliminating the danger of liquid getting into your laptop. —[2]—.

Next up is the keyboard. Removing the keys and putting them in a bowl filled with water to clean them is an option. —[3]—. However, simply using a can of compressed air to remove the debris underneath the keys will do the job just fine. Cleaning the monitor should be the last step, so you can prevent the screen from getting dirty with the dust you create while cleaning other parts. —[4]—.

Click here to order Leaders Cleaner. A brief video of our expert performing the laptop cleaning is available here. Talk with technical experts and other registered members of Leaders Today about tech-related issues here.

39. What is indicated as the first step in cleaning a laptop?
40. According to the Web page, what is mentioned as a strongly recommended item when cleaning a laptop?
41. What is indicated about Leaders Today?
42. In which of the positions marked [1], [2], [3] and [4] does the following sentence best belong? “Furthermore, it is more effective at removing oily residues.”

From: cs@electroland.com
Date: August 18th at 16:45
Re: RE: Extremely dissatisfied!
Attachment: electroland_refundpolicy.doc

Dear Ms. Blithe,
Thank you for your e-mail of August 17th. We have investigated your complaint with the staff members of Electro-Land in Torrance (Redondo Blvd.branch). Unfortunately, we are unable to comply with your request for a refund and must uphold the decision made by the sales clerk that you dealt with at the store. She was following company policy.
I have attached a copy of our refund policy for your review. This would also have been printed on the back of your receipt. As you can see in point 4, we are not able to offer refunds on software that has been opened if you do not have the original receipt. I hope you can appreciate that, once the product is opened, it cannot be resold, and is therefore valueless to us.
In addition, I understand from your e-mail that your computer did not have the minimum requirements to run the software, so you could not use it. However, the minimum system requirements are listed by the manufacturer on the outside of the box the software came in. So, you did not have to open the box to find this out.
We regret this situation and hope to continue to serve you in the future.

3. If the package has been opened (the security seal is broken) and you have a receipt, you will be offered a refund or exchange only if the item is defective or unfit for the intended purpose.
4. If you do not have a receipt and the merchandise has been opened (the security seal is broken), no refund or exchange is permitted.
An Exchange Coupon can be redeemed at any Electro-Land store for any purchase of (where applicable) a repair of the item. This coupon can be used to replace the returned merchandise with either the same item or an alternative of your choice. The value of the exchange coupon will be the system price of the returned merchandise on the day of the return.
