Charity Hospital is looking for an organized, motivated individual to fill the position of Director of Dining Services, starting August 15th.

Responsibilities of the position include planning weekly meals for patients, managing a staff of thirty food service workers, and placing food supplies orders every month. You may also be asked to organize food for special events, such as hospital benefits.

The successful applicant will have at least five years' experience working as a manger in some business field, and a university degree. Specific experience in the hospitality industry is preferred, but not required.

Interested individuals should pick up an application from the Food Service Department at Charity Hospital, which is located on the first floor of the hospital. Please fill out the application and submit it, along with 2 reference letters and a cover letter, by July 24, 2007. Applications will be available starting June 21, 2007.

Riverdale - The city's public bike-sharing program reported a 35% increase in rides over the past year, city transportation officials said. Operators recorded 1.35 million trips, up from 1.0 million the previous year.

Officials credited the rise to more docking stations in residential neighborhoods, a reduced membership fee introduced last spring, and a new smartphone app that simplifies unlocking bikes and planning routes. The program also installed helmet vending kiosks at 20 high-traffic stations to encourage safety.

Funding for the expansion came from a combination of sources: "$2.4 million from the city budget, $800,000 in federal and state grants, and $500,000 from corporate sponsorships," the report stated. Officials added that some advertising on the bike stations helps cover maintenance costs.

This was such a wonderful and well-organized tour provided by Sherman Tours. I especially liked the fact that I was never rushed, which enabled me to take in the view and appreciate the nature of the beautiful Grand Canyon. Our guide Joshua O’Neil was very informative, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I greatly enjoyed the delicious dinner I had at All about French as well. I would recommend this trip package to all those who want to have an unforgettable experience at the Grand Canyon in a relatively short time.
