Renovated City Airport Now Open

Frequent flyers will be happy to know that the renovations at City Airport are finally finished. The airport renovations were scheduled for completion at the end of last year, but the construction team fell behind schedule and _____(1) the deadlines twice.

Fire Damages Pet Food Warehouse

Rochester: April 1st. Late in the evening of March 29th, a fire caused extensive damage to the Huggy Dog Co. pet food warehouse on West 24th Street. There were no injuries. The only employee on the premises was security guard Russ Loupinek, who called in the fire at 9:47 p.m. Fire fighters arrived minutes later and put out the blaze. Most of the loading area was destroyed. The cost of the damage is estimated at $400,000.

Early investigations point to a faulty heating system as the cause of the fire. According to a Hugggy Dog spokesperson, the company that installed the system, AMC Heaters, had ignored numerous complaints about the heating units over the past 4 weeks. Huggy Dog plans to take legal action against AMC Heaters.

Dear Ms. Lambert,

On October 10, 2007, I purchased a Coby 135 MP3 player from your Helena, Montana dealership. After only two weeks of use, the device started to show significant problems with downloading music from the Internet. I made a complaint to the branch manager, but he told me to contact the manufacturer instead.

According to my product warranty, however, the seller is fully responsible for any defects up to 60 days after the purchase of the item. It also states that a customer is eligible for a full refund or replacement with a new product in such a case. As I purchased the product at a Coby's branch, my contract was made with Coby Electronics, not with the manufacturer.

On top of that, since the Helena branch manager was inappropriately impolite in dealing with my issues, I have no intention to get a replacement. Therefore, I am requesting a full refund of the purchase immediately. Additionally, please confirm that you have received this letter as soon as possible.
